Your First Visit to Our Lancaster Practice

You will be warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. Help is on its way!

Your Consultation and Examination will take 30-45 minutes.

You will be greeted by our Chiropractic Assistant at the front desk and asked to sign in and fill out a Personal History Form.

Dr. Guarino will then listen and list your primary, secondary, tertiary... concerns and or goals during the Consultation.  Bring any diagnostic information you may have eg. x-rays, MRI's, CT scan's, EMG's, Lab tests, Prescription list, present and or past doctors...  If you do not have this info we will simply fax a request for the clinics to send them to us.

Your Examination consists of chiropractic, neurological and orthopedic analysis.  By the end of this exam the doctor will know if Chiropractic will help you or if you need to be referred to a different specialist.  We will also know if x-rays or other diagnostics will be needed during your next appointment.

Before you leave our Chiropractic Assistant will review your insurance coverage and/or your portion of payment.  We also offer payment plans which will be explained.

Dr. Edgar Asks some important questions of interest to Lancaster residents - Chiropractor Lancaster Dr. Edgar Asks...

What controls every cell, tissue and organ of your body?
DNA? Wrong. Immune system? Wrong? Hormones? Wrong. It's your nervous system, consisting of your brain, spinal cord and all the nerves of your body. When a chiropractor sees a Lancaster patient with say, stomach problems, we want to know why the brain is unable to properly control and regulate the stomach. Which prompts us to examine the nervous system—the focus of chiropractic care.
Why are chiropractors wary of the germ theory?
Louis Pasteur originated the idea that germs caused disease. Yet, on his deathbed he recanted, declaring, "It's not the seed, but the soil." Meaning, it's not the germ that causes disease, but the condition of the body that allows the germ to thrive. Chiropractic care in our Lancaster office is designed to bolster your resistance so germs don't see you as a good host.
